Washing baby 1-2x week?

Question

I'm a stay at home mom so my 4 month old isn't around other babies,etc. and I've been only bathing him 1-2x per week bc he doesn't get dirty. I use water wipes under his neck feet and hands regularly. I read before where the oils on their skin help them from getting sick so don't bathe them unless dirty. He hasn't been sick at all yet, but I know some people that bathe their babies every night or every other night. Any opinions?

You do what works for you! My LO gets bathed every night but it's part of our bedtime routine and she comes to work with me so it just gives me peace of mind she's good and clean everyday.

We bathed my son 2-3 times a week for the first month, until he developed eczema. Now we have found it's best controlled with a daily bath and aquaphor twice a day. It's also nice to have it a part of his routine. 
Do what works for you because it doesn't REALLY matter 🤷🏻‍♀️

Just go on a case by case basis. Was there a high volume of poop/vomit? Did he literally cover himself head to toe in yogurt? Probably time for a bath. If you make it through a day mess-free, take a day off haha

I did the same until kiddo was older and a) started eating food and getting messy, and b) needed a bath as a bedtime cue. :)

1-2 times a week just isn't enough in my opinion. I bathe my daughter every other night. I personally wouldn't never go a week without showering so why woukd I make her?

That's exactly what I did until around 8 months when he started eating more table food and rubbing it all over himself lol.

My daughter is 1 and gets a bath every other day or every third day   Depends on if she's getting into stuff and getting dirty.  I don't shower everyday and she usually showers with me

I do the same! We just have a lot going on with a 4 year old too in fact that was the reason for a while, when he was a newborn it was just an overwhelming time 😂. But even now that it's gotten easier I bathe the kids a couple times a week of course my 4 yr old needs more baths!!  but yep sometimes my son only gets one or two a week!! Looking forward when he can sit up better and I can bathe them at the same time and do it more for a bedtime routines sake haha. But I agree babies don't get dirty and water tends to dry out their skin I think a bath 1-3 times a week is all they need!
