PCOS 4 weeks of bleeding

Hi, I have PCOS and been trying to conceive for 1.5 years. I was 2 weeks late in July but then got my period and have been bleeding for 31 days now. does anyone else bleed for this long? I've already been to docs when this happened a few months ago but all they did was give me notheristerone (or something like that) to temporarily stop the bleeding and then I had a massive withdrawal bleed when I stopped taking it. Never want to go through that again! so I'm reluctant to go back to docs. Would greatly appreciate any experiences you have had. Thanks in advance!
