No periods yet !!! Confused positive or Negative

Hi, my period date was 10th August and I haven't got it yet. It's been 10 days now. I visited doctor after 3 days of period due date and she didi blood test and it was negative. She asked me to take medicine for period to come as it's negative but I didn't wanted to so I am waiting. Is there any possibility that if blood test comes negative it can be still positive? Should I do urine test? Also last month I had water cyst so is it because of that it's delayed? What to do please advise???🙏🏻thanks in advance.
