Dog bit the baby Should we get rid of her?
We have a German shepherd/black lab mix. She's 2yrs old and fixed. She is normally a great dog. But since the baby has been born she has been extremely jealous. Has even chewed up several of the babies things. There has been 3 incidents now since the baby has been mobile that the dog has "bit" the baby. She aggressively lunges At the baby and bites, but only bites hard enuf to leave an indent kind of like she's warning the baby. And I know she has a mean bite, she destroys nearly every kong we buy her, so she is holding back when she bites. Each incident the baby was trying to get by her while crawling or tried to stand up and held onto her to keep balance. And I was right next to the baby in each incident, which might also have been why the dog only bit down lightly? Idk but My argument is we need to be proactive and get rid of the dog now before the warning becomes the actual thing, however my husband doesn't see a threat since the dog doesn't actually bite all the way down. What do u guys think?
