Did I make the right decision?!

Ok so me and this guy from my school have been talking for about a month and I thought we were getting close and everything was going fine, but a few days ago I caught him talking to another girl and saying the same exact things he was saying to me to her and he was planning on going on a date with her to the movies the day before we were suppose to go on a date to the movies.. with any other situation or any other guy I would've just blocked him and had nothing to do with him but I gave him another chance because he honestly makes me very happy and I haven't been this happy in a while and this time he gave me his passwords to all his social medias and I basically control who he talks to. So did I make the right choice?
