Memorial?

Question

Has anyone created a memorial/memory box type thing for their little ones who passed? 
I miscarried at 9 weeks and just wanting to make something to remember them, they were still a creation and a part of me so I want to make something but I'm not sure what
Ideas?

A short week ago I gave birth to my little angel, who passed shortly after birth! My 7 year old son made her a memory box decorated by him for his sister. I didn't know what to do with it at first until he had a meltdown missing her. So for every sad moment or even happy moment we write letters of love or draw special pictures and fold them up inside her box. He even gave her $2.

I did. I had a D&C; at 11 weeks on July 14. I was able to get the remains from the hospital after they were done with their testing. I bought a little box from a craft store for the baby and then we bought a beautiful plant for our garden and had a garden stone made and personalized from a woman I found on Etsy. We buried the baby next to the plant and placed the garden stone on top. Now I can remember our baby every day and have a beautiful spot in my garden to do so. It helped bring some closure even though it's still an unbearable pain. Sorry for your loss.

We didn't create a memorial per se, but we installed all brand new landscaping at our home- 3 trees, 20 some flowers, bushes, and shrubs.  It seems silly but it really helped my heart.  
I think #1 it was a good passion project for me and my husband.  5 hours of manual labor, and a big effort that we accomplished together.  
#2 it totally changed the look of our house, and kind of gave me a fresh start.  I'm not coming home anymore to the same driveway where my husband and I sobbed together in our car for 30 minutes before we gathered the strength to go inside.  This NEW house is the home that SOMEDAY when the time is finally right for us, our future children will come home to.  The flowers they'll admire every spring.  The trees they'll play under.
And lastly #3, it was nice to bring "new life" into our world.  Something that we can watch grow.
It wasn't intended to be a memorial, but I know I will think of our loss when I look at it for years to come, whether that was the plan or not, and I feel a sense of calm over that.
