The other day I noticed my 5 month old baby boy kept trying to scratch and try and pinch/pull the back of his head next to his ear, but not actually his ear. He does it well he's in the bath, or trying to go to sleep, and especially just waking up. Could this be a start of an ear infection? Or just a habit he is latching on to? His dad had TERRIBLE ear infections has an infant/toddler to the point he had to be in the hospital for weeks and have tubes in his ears. I want to catch it ASAP on our baby. He's so little and just now starting to grab things so maybe he just can't get ahold of his ear yet or I'm just being a paranoid first time mom and I need to chill out lol. (Also this is the only thing I've noticed. no fever, diarrhea. He has had a little build up in ear wax but I think it looks normal. I feel like I sound extremely paranoid but after what happened with his dad I don't want him going through that pain! So of course I'm going to be.
