Being called a baby hog

So my sisters baby shower was this past week. My mom was helping give her her gifts to open. I was sitting on the couch along with other family members and my 6 month old daughter. My mom said to me that she wanted to hold my daughter while she was passing my sister gifts I said no my mother joking around said that that wasn't nice and that my husband told her that she has just as much rights to our daughter that we do and that I was a baby hog. So about 10 minutes goes by we're still opening gifts and my mom asks again. So I told her no (now it's not that I didn't want my mom to hold my daughter but it's my sisters day and my daughter didn't need to be center of attention) well one of my aunts looks at my mom and goes wow she really is a baby hog all snotty like(but yet an hour earlier I let my aunt hold my daughter). I looked at her and said well im her mother so I believe Im not a baby hog since you know it's MY daughter. Am I wrong for not letting my mom hold my daughter? I just didn't want to takeaway from my sister and nephew.
