Still itchy after Monistat 3?

Just finished day three of treatment, as I'm fairly certain I have a yeast infection. My labia and internal area have been very itchy and sore. I think I contracted it from my Nuvaring or a sex toy that wasn't cleaned properly. I used the Monistat 3 day ovule treatment and I'm still experiencing occasional itching. How long does it take to clear up? Should I be cured now that the treatment is done? Or does it take more time.

Monistat and other OTC yeast infection treatments only cure certain strains of the infection. They never work for me. I would see your OB, they will be able to prescribe a pill (the miracle pill 🙌) that will literally clear it up within an hour

I had a yeast infection and my midwife recommended Monistat 7 .. it worked after the 7 days. Try avoiding sugars and tight clothing and definitely wear 100% cotton underwear !!! .. I know it sounds sooo routine but it helped me so much and I haven't dealt with it since. Hope this helps 😌

I used monistat 7 prescribed by my OB and it was gone by the 4th day but I continued until day 7 to be sure! I've heard monistat only gets rid of certain kinds of yeast infections, and it doesn't work for everyone. I would go ask your doctor!
If you want to try a natural route, a full garlic clove overnight does the trick for me as well! I used that the first time I ever got a yeast infection and it worked great!
