Telling People Before Ultrasound

Anybody telling or already told people before your first ultrasound? I had my first appt today at 6 weeks and they didn't end up doing anything but the normal pelvic exam and a urine test to confirm. I really thought they'd check the heartbeat and we'd get pics transvaginally, but they didn't. Disappointing. I go back in 3 weeks for my first ultrasound. My plan was to tell my parents here in a few days. That was when I thought I'd have pics to share. Now that I don't, I can't decide if I should still go ahead and tell them or not? I'm really close with them and suck at keeping this secret!
