Baby moving too much while feeding
So I've posted before about my baby not latching on to breastfeed but we are doing much better with that. We do use nipple shields and she is 7 weeks today.
This morning I hadn't pumped or fed for about six hours so I did a 10 minute pump so I wouldn't be too engorged when I tried to feed her. I put her on and she shallow latched at first which was extremely painful but then she got the hang of it for about a minute. She proceeded to bob her head up and down on the shield while clamping down at times and then getting the proper latch for just a little bit. Did that on both sides. There was plenty of milk sitting in the nipple shield so I didn't pump it all out. She ate 4 oz of already pumped milk right after. Any suggestions on how to improve her feeding experience?
