Chemical smell?

My husband and I have our crib assembled and ready to go in our baby's nursery. However, I feel like there is a strong chemical smell coming from it and am so worried because it's not going away. Anyone have this issue before? How did you remedy it? I have a box of baking soda in the room to try and absorb smells and wiped vinegar solution on it. HELP!!!

It needs to off-gas for a while before baby can use it. I believe the recommended time is 2 weeks-2 months. Depending on how bad the smell is. You can put it outside, in a garage, or in a spare room that's rarely used.

ours was the same way. we assembled it around 16 weeks and I'm now 30 weeks, when I walk in the room sometimes I can STILL smell it... try some vinegar, it seemed to help ours a bit, I need to do mine again before baby arrives.

Can you put it out in the sun for a day or two? That should get rid of the smell.
