Getting your tubes tied

My obgyn told me even though this is my first child and I am young (21) she can tie my tubes 6 weeks post partum. This would be my first child and my hubbies second. I think I would be okay with just the two in my life now.. It's a big decision and the hubs is not much for advice he just told me to do whatever I want. Hellllp
