Is there a reason that men go for younger women?

Question

My husband is 31 and I'm 20. And told me that before we ever got together, one of the things he wanted out of a spouse was for her to be younger (5 years max). So...why do men go for younger women ? 
I've asked my husband, but his response is that if a woman is younger he wouldn't have missed SO much of her life. 
But do you think the general reason is?

It's usually a massive red flag when older men specifically target younger women. Younger women may be less experienced and easier to manipulate.

Everyone has reasons for dating and marrying whoever they like. Age differences don't matter to me as long as partners are able to consent. 
However, the reason for marrying a younger woman being about "not missing so much of her life" immediately makes me question it. Why does he feel entitled to experiencing so much of a woman's life when the age difference means that she will not be able to experience the same from his life?
It makes me think power dynamic, patriarchy, entitlement, etc.

Super broad generalization but biologically speaking men tend to seek women who are young and curvy which signals fertility (subconsciously) and women seek men who are strong and financially stable to help ensure their young's survival (also subconsciously). It's a theory on attraction, based on primal needs. Of course there could be a variety of reasons. That's just my sex Ed class coming back to me lol

I'm 21 and my husband is 34. It's not a red flag (some cases it is but not all) my husband is seriously my soulmate he is the only person out there for me. We are amazing together we have been together since a month after I turned 18 (that's just when we met) and hit it off instantly moved in together within three months (crazy I know) and just got married March 26, 2017! Ignore the red flag comments is all I'm saying and to answer your original question I have no clue lol.

No idea but I don't like men who are more than a few years older because most of them start to think they can belittle you if you're younger.

Every guys has a different reason. Some guys don't want to be with an older girl. Not as beautiful.
