Midwife vs. ob opinions please!
I am currently 15+2 with my second and am seeing an ob. I am thinking about switching to seeing a midwife and giving birh in a birthing center rather than a hospital.
Here are some of my reasons:
I had an unmedicated vaginal birth with my first born and I'd like to do the same this time. When my daughter was born we were living in a different state and that hospitals c-section rates were 17%. The hospital where I'm at now has a c-section rate of 48%. that terrifies me.
I'm very interested in having a water birth which is offered an the birthing center.
I like the idea of being in a more comfortable setting rather than in a hospital.
My husband is concerned about not being in a hospital in case something were to go wrong.
