Boyfriend despises my dog

My boyfriend hates my dog with a passion. She's not the most well trained dog to say the least. She's definitely on the needier side, she's a Chihuahua so she's naturally defensive and constantly barking. it's hard to even train her she's 6 and is deaf. She's agressive when she eats and growls when she's picked up. So she's not all peaches and rainbows but I love her with all my heart. I don't want to rehome her she's my dog for life in my eyes, I've had her for 6 years. I don't know what to do. I'm 37 weeks pregnant and this is definitely stressing me out. Just tonight he didn't want her to sleep in our bed so he put a baby gate up and then got extremely upset when she started whining, so I to make the situation better left to the couch to be with. Made him angrier and he grabbed his keys yelling have fun with your dog and left. I don't know what to do please help me. **update**I'm going to see different trainers and find a good one one for her. I told my boyfriend that and he proceeded to shut the fuck up and don't talk to him and that I could go fuck myself. Told him to fuck off and then I got called every name in the book.
