help pls

okay so i'm most likely going on the pill soon (for period reasons) and i don't have much knowledge on it, please tell me everything i should know about it and which ones that are best (i don't wanna gain weight or get acne from it), what the doctors said when you went for it, if your parents have to be in the same room, would it matter if i said i'm not sexually active (i've don't everything but sex with my boyfriend of 2 years)? idk i'm getting a bit nervous about it and will need some reassurance. Please tell me everything you know!!
