low hcg

i found out recently i was pregnant with a home pregnancy test but was worried about a very faint line so i went to the doctors and they drawed my blood to see my levels and my first draw was at 118 they told me to come back in 48hours to see if my numbers have doubled and they didnt they dropped to 71 the doctor asked me if i have had any bleeding but i havnt i only had spotting right before i took a home pregnancy test but very light spotting shpyld i be expecting a miscarriage i just had a miscarriage in april with a little boy??????
