Contractions??

Question

I'm a first time mom and my little girl is due in June. I'm about 31 weeks 2 days and it's getting to the point where my back hurts and lower stomach hurts. I've had some slight sharp pains in that area but idk what to look for when it comes to contractions? Will I know? Will they basically stop me in my tracks? Any info will help!

Trust me you will know. I worried about the same thing with my first but I could tell the moment the contractions became real. I'm on my third now and my husband freaks everytime I wince with a BH and asks if I need to go to the hospital. I always ask him "are you bleeding yet?" because with both my sons I ended up punching him because he wanted to do the right thing like the classes taught him and try to comfort me by rubbing my back but the touching made it worse for me. You will most certainly know when they are real.

Sounds like it could be Braxton Hicks. If they don't stop with movement and/or lots of water and laying down on your side for an hour and are able to be timed call your doctor.
