cramping and early ultra sounds

so I went to the doctors yesterday and they said because of some of the cramping I've been experiencing they wanted me to get an ultra sound when I did they could only see the sack but no baby acording to them I'm only 6weeks and two days along ....have any of u mommas experienced this with period like cramps sometimes too but no bleeding ?
