I'm currently a single mother and recently had to quit my job and decided to just go to school full time for business management and administrative and of course take care of my son, I was qualified for wic and since I'm on my own, buying my own groceries, I tried to apply for food stamps but I got denied earlier this year, so a week ago i decided to reapply and she says I have to be over 21 to get food stamps but until then I'm under my mom, she asked me questions and of course calls my mom and ask her questions and my mother was basically telling her if it's based off her they might as well close the case because with her salary I'll never get it... I'm thinking I'm on my own just like financial aid said, financial aid said since I'm a mother now it doesn't matter if I live with my mom, I have a child now and I'm counted as independent person.

So when the caseworker said I had to be over 21 and if I wasn't, I'm going to be under my mother which I think isn't right because I live with her but I still pay everything on my own including rent/car note...

I personally think this law isn't right but that's my opinion
