When to start test strips...

Question

When does someone generally start the ovulation test strips? And how many days, what time of days...All that good stuff? I've never 'tried' getting pregnant, it's just happened with my girls. Now I'm worried because I'm getting older and had an iud and just a million things going through my head!

We TTC 5 months before buying the test strips online at amazon - pretty affordable for tons! I started testing every afternoon (that's the recommended time of day) around 4 days after my period ended. It's tricky because a faint line is actually a negative (opposite of pregnancy tests)! Once the line is as dark as the control line, THEN it's positive.

I found the ovulation tests very helpful! We got pregnant after 3 cycles! Sadly it ended in a chemical pregnancy, but I feel very strongly that using the tests is what helped us get pregnant. We also started using preseed. Good luck to you!

I started 4 days after my period ended (that's when I got them in the mail). I didn't ovulate until 18 days after my cycle started, which is way later than what my apps were saying.

I started on CD 7 until I get a positive then I stop what I found is that I ovulated CD 10 -11 vs CD 12 -14 like the app suggested
