My daughter just turned 7 months on the 23rd and had her 3rd set of shots today. She's been teething for a while now but no signs of a tooth yet. Last night she had temperature of 98.9º F taken at the armpit. She felt way hotter than usual. During the morning she had high temperatures on an off, I gave her some Tylenol and baths to bring temperature down. She had her physical appointment and her shots at 2 P. M. I mention the high temperatures to her pediatrician and he said it's normal because she is teething. Some babies get on and off high temperatures. He also said that 98.9 is not considered a fever, fevers are 100+ ºF ..... he basically made me feel I was overreacting...
