I woke up on 8/21 thinking I'd be having a normal 39 week check up. Maybe hear I was dilating and you'd be here any day. Instead mommies doctor told her she was expecting a very big boy and because mommy was diagnosed with gestational diabetes we had to get you out to prevent complications.

I was sent to the hospital for a bpp, nst and efw. When the results came back they called mommas doctor and he said there's no way we can risk a vaginal birth. Turns out mommy has a very small cervix and if they were to induce a vaginal delivery she would bleed a lot and possibly not get to hold you... if you made it out safely.

Doctor said we had to go with a C section and so we did.

I was prepped in 30 minutes and ready to go. I was terrified, disappointed in not being able to try for a vaginal delivery. But mainly I was insanely scared of losing you.

I was rolled into the OR at 8:00pm and at 8:26pm you let out your first beautiful unique cry.

At 8:26 pm I became a mommy to a beautiful big boy.

My world flipped upside down when I got to feel your warm body on mine.

Recovery has been extremely hard, alongside depression and fatigue. But I look down and see my precious boy enjoying some boobie snacks and I know I'd do it over again 1000 times so I'll never lose this sight ❤
