OPK question!!!

So after ovulation if you take an opk a test line shouldn't show up right? Unless it looks like it's getting light and goes to nothing right? I'm new to OPKs and bbt, I had a test line pop up almost as dark as the control line but this was way early like on CD6! And on my bbt it looks like I may have ovulated on CD 9 bc my temp has been gradually rising from that day but I'm still waiting for a few more higher temps to confirm. So if I were to take an opk now it should be a lighter test line or none at all correct? Thanks ladies ☺️
