I was thinking about this earlier and it’s actually fairly interesting to think about.
When you start a debate with someone (or jump into one already happening), do you keep it mature? Professional? (Mature, no matter what).
Do you not give two fucks and just come out swinging? (“I will destroy you” mode).
Or does it depend? I.E. does it have to escalate FIRST, and then your claws come out, or does it all 100% depend on the topic?
