I've had two abortions previously in my life. I don't regret either of them and I'm so glad I had the option and the choice available to me at the time. I have not told anyone including my own family about the abortions, other than my current boyfriend and best friend. The community in which I live in happens to be strongly pro-life and every day I am confronted with pro-life posters, signs, protesters, and pro-lifers preaching about how "abortion is murder". I am a very calm, friendly person and not judgemental whatsoever. But when I see pro-life posters and protesters it gets me upset and angry like nothing else. I find myself thinking about paintballing their stupid propaganda bullshit that's making people like me feel like shit every time I drive by it. Like who are you to hold judgement against me making a private healthcare decision... you don't see people protesting plastic surgery or having their tubes tied? Growing up in Europe abortion is not a public matter - it is private - patient confidentiality. There are no abortion clinics cause all abortions are performed in regular hospitals like any other healthcare procedure. Sorry guys this is turning into a rant... anyway. What tips do you guys have for dealing with pro-lifers? Do you guys ever feel harassed by pro-lifers? What do you guys do to not get offended on a day to day basis?
