Does anyone else have someone at work that they just can't get along with?

How do you handle it? Other than avoiding them or starting drama.

I ignore them. If they try to start something, I stand up for myself, nicely but firmly. It's more professional that way but it also shows I don't take their crap. Just be nice, no matter what they do. If they start spreading rumors/talking about you, you deny every single one, same as if they're being mean/bullying/making fun of you. Don't let them get to you either. I'm having the same issue at my job, but there are 3 employees who are the reason why I keep my head up.....and why I haven't already quit. If we didn't have them, I would have been gone over a year ago and I've been at this job for 2 years, right out of high school. It's also my first job. Just pray daily, go to work and do your job, excel at everything they ask of you, and show them hoes who's boss around there. Because it ain't just your manager/supervisor/department head. It's you too sis.

Me personally I don't go to work to make friends only to get a check and supporr myself, but I do try to keep it professional by being what I'd like to call"work Cordial" I say GM or whatever time of the day it is and I keep on moving.

Something else I should have added. My mom told me in high school that I have just as much of a right to be there as those girls who were so awful to me. And it's true. But I never acted like I had that right and that's how I got bullied so badly. So now I keep telling myself that and I stand up for myself and others being treated wrong. Because I have just as much of a right to be at my job as the manager that's worked for the company in various states and other stores before this one....and she's pretty darn awful to be around sometimes.

Have you tried just killing them with kindness? Or keep communication limited? Or having a sincere heart to heart (even though I'm sure the thought makes you cringe you'd come out being the bigger person) pull them aside one day and ask what the issue is and if there is some way it can be resolved
