Infant Car Seat Opinions?

Question

I've always gotten an infant seat with a base for my babies, due to the convenience of being able to snap the whole thing in/out of a stroller/car. However, I'm debating on getting a convertible seat from the beginning and just wearing the baby. I just don't know how practical that would be. 
I'm having a hard time deciding... 🤔🤔🤔

im gonna go with a convertible and baby wearing because 1. people are less likely to try to touch baby in public if I'm wearing him. 2. saves money  3. Don't have to worry about flat head syndrome from being left in the carseat too often.

I was going to do a convertible seat and wear baby as well. but what if they're sleeping? I don't want to wake the baby to go in a store or the house when I could just carry them in their infant seat.

Carrying a baby when they get to 12lb is not good good for your back at all!!!

Also check with your hospital Bc some require baby leaves in an infant seat

I have both. My oldest daughter started with an infant seat that had a base but she now has a convertible carseat. My youngest now uses the infant carseat because we couldn't afford to get two convertible ones. But I always wound up wearing my kids into the store. They both always fell asleep while in the carrier because they were closer to me and the gentle rocking with me walking. Plus I hated carrying the carseat around because it was so heavy with the added weight of my baby. My kids are also light sleepers so moving the carseat from the car to another spot woke them up as well as getting them out and putting them in the carrier. So it all just kinda depends on your preference and your baby. I love my daughter's convertible carseat because I know that I don't have to buy another one for her as she gets bigger. Not being the wealthiest family, I can't afford to buy a new carseat for every single stage.

I really wanted a convertible, but i had a hard time finding one that really looked like it fit a small newborn. I HATE that stupid bucket seat - never take it out of my car. But it was free, and keeps the baby snug when really tiny.

I'm going to wear baby but eventually I don't think my back will be able to handle it so definitely having a stroller.

Depends on where you live. For me I need the infant seat because there are a lot of steps from the street to my house and it would be too much to have to carry the baby in and out of the car
