Last time I started developing feelings, which is why I ended things and I don't know if I can stand being just friends plus benefits again. Is it realistic to even try?

Well booty call isn't the same thing as a fwb. A friend with benefits is a FRIEND with benefits. Whereas a booty call is just sex with someone you happen to know. 
I've had two fwb and they worked out great. We don't have sex anymore (they both found girlfriends), but we are still friends, we still chat, and if they lived closer then we'd still hang out. 
But if you don't think you can handle it without catching feelings, then it's probably best not to do it. Or try just hanging out as friends and see how you feel about it then.
