Question

I know its rare but possible to get pregnant on your period, but my my SO is VERY sure it's impossible (😒😒😒) but about a week after my period I had a small amount of blood come out so I was wondering (can't test till like later this week) if there was other reasons for spotting after your period?

First of all, that's a loaded question. Technically, if you are having a true period, it's very unlikely to get pregnant from sex during your period. (The only chance is if you have super short cycles) HOWEVER, it is very possible to not have ovulation on a certain cycle, after which you might eventually bleed to shed some of your uterine lining. This bleed is called a breakthrough bleed and looks exactly like a normal period. However, because ovulation did not happen the previous cycle, it is possible to ovulate during a breakthrough bleed in which case you could very easily get pregnant.
All that said, there are also MANY reasons you can spot or lightly bleed between your periods. Many women will spot when they ovulate so that could have been ovulation happening for you. It is also possible to spot after ovulation during what's known as your luteal phase. Spotting that happens during your luteal phase can happen because you have low progesterone, too high of estrogen, or in some cases, implantation of a fertilized egg (pregnancy).
