How do you pregnant mamas handle waiting for the first doctor appointment??
Mine won't schedule an OB appt until 8 weeks. That means I have to wait 4 weeks now to even check on baby!
I keep feeling like it's a trick or that something is going to go wrong. I want to live at the doctor until we're in the clear!! Lol
How do y'all handle the worrying/wait?

Work, I have an almost 2 year old and sleep a lot. Keep busy!

look at it this way... its only the beginning... after that appointment you will likely have 4 more weeks before you go back, and then 4 more after that.... until you get to about 28 weeks, then you will go every 2 weeks until you get to about 36, then once a week...provided its a normal and healthy pregnancy.... its really just starting and there isn't much they can see before then anyways... they are likely just going to have you pee on a stick and if its positive and you don't have any signs of bleeding or issues then they may or may not do blood work or an ultrasound for dating.... that stuff may wait until 12 weeks. every doctor is different. try not to feel panicked, you will look back on this time and realize how fast it went very very soon... find a hobby and keep yourself busy... I learned the hard way there is no "safe" spot. we lost our daughter at 28 weeks and we have a whole list of issues with my current pregnancy, I'm being seen 4 days a week now and praying we make it to 34 weeks... currently 30 weeks 6 days and I feel like it has flown by, hang in there momma!

I work and have an 9 month old baby. I thought about it last night for the first time and I was like, I didn't realize I was already 7w2d and that I haven't told anyone yet lol I won't be making an appointment until I have my first ultrasound since I have already been through it once. Just keep yourself busy and you won't even know when your next appointment is until the day!

I was 5.3 and could barely stand it. Had my first scan at 6.3 and was shaking so bad the tech had to hold my legs still! I can't IMAGINE having to have waited to 8 weeks! 😭
