I was on the depo for a year and a half, I got off it started the patch got my period the second month so the second patch, i switched over to the pill when I was supposed to start my fourth patch. I've always been pretty regular with my period. I never got it when I was supposed to (sugar pill week) it was always the week after and I'm not sure why. I ended up stopping the pill July and I had break threw bleeding the first week I stopped it for About 5days, This period started about 2 weeks and 3 days ago... it was heavy at first, now it's lighter but still bright red, I usually only bleed during the morning and afternoon and it kinda fades off during the evening... it's so confusing why it's lasted this long but my doctor said it's not common but not uncommon either. Anyways the app says I was expected to ovulate the Saturday that just passed so my question is could I still have ovulated and has anyone else had a prolonged period after stopping birth control?
