Pad Suggestions?

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to stop a pad from making noise in general? When I say that I mean when you're taking it off and unwrapping it and when you're walking? I'm okay with tampons but pads are just more comfortable...

When I change mine or unwrap them, especially in public, I always flush the chain and open the pad as quickly as possible. I then just slowly take off the used pad and slowly peel off the new pad. Sometimes I can hear it when walking so I always try to pull my knickers and trousers up as high as I can. I feel this helps control the flow and quietens sound slightly. 
Might not work the same for you, but I find it quite useful 😁
