is it rude to ask that no children be brought to my baby shower? how do I go about doing this?

Put on the invitation. I have seen some that say leave husbands and kids at home.  I also attended a wedding that didn't want children allowed but they came off sweet about. I am sure ther are clever ways to say it

No. I just threw a baby shower for my friend who is having her second baby and specified "ladies only" on the invite.

I edited out some of the info, but you can still get the gist. I just added it right after the address for the shower. Everyone seemed fine with it.

No, I don't think it's rude because it's YOUR baby shower and you should feel comfortable. :)
