Is it normal to have sex on your period?

So me and my husband are in a long distance relationship until I graduate from college. Then we are planning on finding a place and moving in with each other. But every time we plan on seeing each other my period decides to pay a visit as well.

He gets upset that it’s here but when he’s ready to have sex he doesn’t pay it any mind. We clean up after we have sex but sometimes I feel awkward. What do you guys think, lemme know!

my fiancee and I have sex when I'm on my period he just uses a condom an that's that my flow isn't all that heavy so there isn't much clean up
