We've had a long history of trying to become parents. We tried for 15 years. I had 2 miscarriages, both chemical pregnancies a number of years ago.

Then we tried to adopt. We had 3 failed adoptions (one fell though after having the baby in our care for 5 months from the time she was 3 days old). Thankfully we were able to successfully adopt about 4 years ago, a baby boy.

We have been living our everyday lives, hoping one day we would get a call again to adopt again. In mid June, I realized I was late. Thinking I was in peri-menopause and not pregnant I didn't test for a few days. But after a couple of days, I decided to use one of my near expiring pregnancy test strips. To my shock and delight, it was positive!!!

Fast forward a few months later, here I am, nearly 15 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby boy!!!

We finally spilled the beans to family and friends yesterday. We are over the moon excited! And still a little shocked.
