My 15 month old just started walking and my MIL observed that her left foot points outward as she "toddles" around. Is this normal? I told her that it's okay because of how babies walk to learn balance, but she's unconvinced and insisting on taking her to a doctor.

Its called knock knees. As babies bones aren't fully hardened yet and they lack kneecaps, it is normal for them to walk like this until they are several years old.

You can always call your nurses line, but keep in mind that they will likely refer you to an occupational therapist for exercise to do at home and try to keep her pointing both straight. Lots of people walk this way.

how does she sit? if she sits on her feet that could be why. my daughter's foot does that if she sits on it
