When should the groom see the bride?

Just wondering what the most popular opinion is these days. Personally my boyfriend and I agree he won't see me until I come down the aisle and we don't care if that means we do pictures after. But every wedding I've been in has done the first look before the ceremony? What did you do or what will you do and why?

I wanted to do the first look but my husband said he wanted all the emotion to hit him at once. I'm really glad we decided to wait until I walked down the aisle. I have never seen him cry that much before!

Just wanted to add that my cousin first saw his wife when she came down the aisle and this was his face and it was so cute I started bawling and that's what I want 😭

I just married a little over a month ago. We had lived together for almost a year but decided not to see each other from the night before up until I walked down the aisle. 
Because I don't have a father in my life, his dad walked me the first half and my grandpa walked me the second half and gave me away. 
We mixed some traditional and some non traditional things into many parts of our wedding day ❤️

We lived together before we got married but the night before the wedding he went back to his moms for the night and we didn't see each other until I was walking down the aisle. (Well he didn't see me anyways, I might've snuck a peek of him from the upstairs window when he was taking groomsmen pictures 😂💁🏻)

It's up to the couple though. If they are worried their spouse won't like their dress then I guess they decide it together or who knows. But some think it's best for it to be a surprise and for them to look at their beautiful wife in a pretty dress. 
I think keeping it a secret/surprise is just really cute and heart warming because of the reactions!

I LOVE seeing the groom's face when the bride starts down the aisle. I cry almost every time. For selfish reasons I think the groom should have to wait, lol. When my fiancé and I get married I don't want to do a first look.
My eyes are dilated, but I proof read best I could! lol
