I'm currently 13weeks pregnant and work with challenging behaviour. I do 12hour night shifts 36hours a week. I've bee off work now for 5 weeks with Hyperemesis but it's settling down now and I need to go back to work as I can't afford to stay on sick. So anyway I'm due back Friday night. The problem is I need to speak to my manager tomorrow about me changing to days and only doing 6hour shifts also working with challenging behaviour how do I tell my manager that I don't think that the job is safe for me whilst I'm pregnant without sounding petty. My union have informed me that my work should find me a job with no risks and if they can't they must send me home on full pay until I'm due to go on maternity. But I'm nervous about having the conversation as I don't want them to be funny with me...
