Yes. The start date is usually off by 0-3 days - but that is to be expected. Period start dates can vary by a few days even for really regular cycles so that is about as accurate as you can expect any app to be. 
When it says my period is 4 days away, I'll start carrying my supplies wth me in preparation. Lol

It's up to you. If your cycle is regular or if it is it's own regular & you know how long your cycle is then it will be correct
