Did anyone NOT announce that they were pregnant?

Whenever someone gets pregnant they always post the news on social media but have you ever not made your pregnancy public (only telling close family members/friends (maybe not even friends)? And why did you choose that? 
I feel like I will not tell social media, only my close family, because anything could go wrong...

I'm due in 3 weeks. I've not told a soul on social media. Why should I? I owe no one an explanation lol. Didn't announce that I got married last year either

I got rid of my social media months ago! The only people who know are my parents and a few close friends. If I ever decide to get back on social media I think it will be fun to be like.. hey! Here's a baby!...
I kid though. I don't really like people knowing my life or business anyway. If we don't talk regularly why should you have access to photos of my pregnancy and kids?

we told my husband's family, I told social media because besides his family I only have close friends on there. my family doesn't know because I haven't spoken to them

This is really my only social media. The hubs is not announcing on FB (his only).  When we tell his parents, we are planning on making it ABUNDANTLY CLEAR that we don't want it announced on social media. If we want someone to know, we will tell them. I will announce at school (work). He is not planning to.

I figured I'd tell as many people as I wanted so that I know my little one was celebrated, praised, and loved even if anything went wrong. It is tough to have to let people know you miscarried or something happened, but more often than not you have friends who have or are going through the same thing and can offer love and support. I completely understand keeping it to yourself though, as it is your body and choice to do as you wish ❤️

If it happens for us I won't publish it on social media, only 2 of my sisters and my co-workers will know. I don't want my crazy mother to find out and make it all about her like she did when my sister was pregnant 😒.

With my son I never told anyone except my mom the rest of my family knew nothing until my SO accidentally slipped up & said something then they all wanted me to get rid of the baby. But my family is very rude & hateful which is why we kept it to ourselves. After I had my son I did post a word announcement on facebook & sent a few pictures to friends. Its honestly up to you but I totally understand where your coming from.

I won't try to hide it but I won't go out of my way to announce it all over social media. If you have to see it online, we aren't close enough for me to care if you know 😂 🤷🏼‍♀️

A girl i went to school with didnt post about it until a couple weeks before baby was due. I had no idea she was pregnant because we are just fb friends now and no longer talk lol but if you dont want to post about it you dont have to. I probably wouldnt. The only time i enjoy pregnancy postings is when theyre reposting delicious food recipes in the middle of the night 😂
