Was this rude of her or am I being sensitive?

My step daughter came out of her room a few minutes ago. My husband and I sleep in the living room so I'm laying on the floor and she comes and kicks the pillow that I'm using, not a hard kick but I soft kick and I look up and she asks me something. And I'm just like why would she kick me pillow instead of calling my name? I found that so rude of her. But maybe I am being too sensitive. She's 16 years old and she has no manners whatsoever, plus she doenst like me.

It's absolutely rude. If someone kicked a pillow I was lying down on I would have been so mad. 
I know you write here about your stepdaughter quite a lot, have you spoken to her dad yet about how much the situation is affecting you?

I would have send her and her attitude back into the room until she knows how to approach me properly.

I'd tell her to turn around, walk back in and address you politely. Geez if I'd done that to my Mum, Dad would have literally kicked me up the arse.

She's a teenager.  Rude is like part of the job description.  It's like getting offended by a toddler who's screaming.
So she couldn't quite bring herself to say your name.  So what?
Maybe it was still a tiny little effort at communicating.  She could have asked her dad her little question, after all.  But she chose you.  Why?

Maybe she just didnt wanna wake her dad?
