Should men have to ask for father's permisson?
Should a girl's SO be required to ask for her father's permission when proposing? I've heard a lot of people say it's kind of sexist how girls have to be given away by the man of the house and have his permission to marry. I mean after all this tradition started back when women were seen as objects by society. Would you get married without your SO asking your dad for permission firsr?
