Help: different religions and raising baby
Hi all, need some advice...feeling bad.
So I'm Jewish and my husband is catholic. We have a 14 month old. We decided to raise him with both religions and he could decide when he is older (if any).
I will preface by saying I do not, nor ever eat pork. I do not stop my husband from eating it or cooking it, ever. Well we decided to introduce it to our son this morning (little ground pieces) , I am totally ok with it.
Well, when they were finishing up all I said was "If you don't mind, can you just clean him and the high chair up after?"
He told me I was being overly dramatic and that our son should come first and I should do it.
I really feel I need an outsiders opinion, I really don't think I asked too much as I'm almost 30 I don't eat or touch any Pork. I feel very strongly, personally about it. I'm not stopping him from eating it, I just preferred not to touch it (especially when my husband is fully capable of cleaning him up).
Obviously if push came to shove and I had to touch it I would do it with out hesitation.
Please, any input is welcomed...feeling crappy and disrespected
Thanks lovely ladies!
