Depo shot

I'm concerned because I have been on the shot for at least 2 years and did not have my period while on the shot. I did come off the shot and switched birth controls and had my period right away. I am worried it will take a while to get pregnant. I took birth control because of continuous fatigue and passouts and this was the best option. Has anyone had issues with the depo shot? Anyone have insight?
