Freezer meals?

Any june mommas gonna prep some freezer meals for when you come home and dont have much energy with a newborn? share your recipes! !!

Rice dishes are always good, I made a batch of egg rolls, they freeze well, soups, stuffed bell peppers....

There are some meals you can make that you can freeze and eat off of for several days. Dishes like lasagna, chili, soups. I have this pot roast recipe that I love! It's ridiculously easy. It's a matter of just dumping things in a crockpot. I make that and hubs & I eat of it for 2-3 days. My husband also works weird hours so is gone for dinner most nights. On his off days I make remade meals and keep them in the fridge. I usually do chicken or steak and season or marinade then. Fry them up on my George form and than I make a rice or pasta dish and steam some frozen veggies. To prep him a weeks worth of meals, it takes me about an hour.

I stay with my parents because I moved to another state after I found out I was pregnant. When she's 6 months or so I'll find an apt for her and I. I currently do all the cooking for my family but my dad will after she's born so that I can rest.

I highly suggest testing your freezer meals before the baby gets here! A lot of "freezer meals" I found on Pinterest didn't work well for us; the potatoes turned black and rubbery, a few of the casseroles got weird textures, etc. Soups are really the only thing I've found that stayed true to it's original state. But you cando potato soups, stews, taco soups, and they're all good warmed up. My fiancé isn't thrilled of the idea of soups in the middle of the summer though 😜 
Another idea though..I make a monthly meal plan and break down a grocery least per pay period. It takes about an hour and a half, once a month and is a lot better than scrounging every couple days and having to take daily trips to Walmart. So there's a grocery list for every week, a list of what I've planned, and I pull out the recipe cards for everything I've planned that week. This will make it easier for my fiancé to go to the store if I need him to or he'll have very detailed instructions for supper if I'm just overwhelmed with the baby at supper time.
