Mother in law birthday and TTC

Bonnie

Soo, just need opinions-

My mother in law (basically) has decided that Christmas 2018 we're all going to Vanuatu for her 50th.

This kind of makes things hard for me, because 1- I want to TTC my second and was hoping to do so around early next year. But if that was to happen, I would be either too pregnant to go, or have a new born. Obviously I'm not going if either of those happen. I would also have a 2 year old. What kind of holiday would that be too.. I also told her and my partner that I will only go if I was in the second trimester of pregnancy as being in the first is too risky and also being in the last is as well. No thanks.

Also we are trying to save for a house so the fact she expects us to pay for this trip ourselves is a bit selfish and cheeky I think (especially considering she has the money easily to pay for us)

I just think it's ridiculous to expect me to plan a pregnancy around a 50th birthday.. my partner isn't seeing eye to eye with me on this though. He thinks "it'll be fine" to take a very young baby or if I was pregnant. I think not.

I have total reason to be a bit pissed about this right? I think she is being rather cheeky and selfish to expect us to go and expect me to alter my pregnancy plans.. ?
