Starting the Pill. Hormone question. Help please

I recently finished with a mirena iud, which I had for six years. I just started the generic of YAZ last week.

I think I might be having hormonal emotional waves. I will suddenly get a rush of overwhelming feeling, usually upset feeling (anger or crushing sadness) that are disruptive to my day. They can derail me for hours. Is this normal?! How can people exist with this all the time? Is this going to get better or do I need to find something else to use? Very confused. Please advise.
