Circumcision aftercare?

Hey mommas! 
Not looking for a debate about circumcision, nor do I want to see the "maybe you shouldn't have gotten him done" comments, so if that's your plan, turn back now!

Anyways! I got my son circumcised last week, and he's a month old (yes I know he's old, but the doctor was away for that month). His plastibell fell off today, but he still has some pretty good swelling and it seems to be really irritating him. 
He had some complications after getting it done (severe bleeding) but it went away on its own; yes he was monitored by a pediatrician during this process, and we haven't had that problem since. 
Have any mommas babies had significant swelling even after the plastibell fell off and want to shed some light on what I could do for my poor little man? 
There's no infection, he's just swollen.

P.s to avoid the "ask the doctor instead of posting it on an app" I HAVE booked an appointment for him, just looking for other mommy's experiences.

I washed my hands and put Vaseline on his penis and on his diaper where id point it down at, it went away. My sons stuff is bigger than mosts so it took a really good quality diaper that was soft to help him heal. I used pampers. Everything else was way too cheap and would bother his skin or didn't hold.

My son didn't have that plastibell thing on there that you are talking about. I just had to keep Vaseline on it. It never got swollen or anything and now a week later it looks to be completely healed.
